About Green Group Inc.
Green Group is a start-up dedicated to helping non-profits, governments, schools, and businesses raise money through grantwriting and proposals so that they may make a difference and fulfill their mission. Green Group is a family owned, California certified micro-business. We hold a non-IT CMAS which allows us to do business with the state of California directly. In addition to grantwriting and proposal development, we also provide general consulting services for organizations in areas of our expertise such as program development, RFP development, program metrics/outcome measures, organizational development/change management, business process re-engineering, for both nonprofits and businesses. As a full service firm, we have partners to help in event planning and fundraising through auctions, as well as social media and marketing.
Lara Petrou Green
Lara is Director and Owner of Green Group Inc., and the principal resource for grantwriting and consulting efforts for Green Group Inc. Lara has a Master of Social Work (MSW) degree and, as a result, has experience in the planning and management of social service organizations and implementing welfare to work programs. In 1998, Lara won a $5M grant from the Department of Labor to start a local welfare to work initiative – and she is proud to say that the program is still in operation today. Following her years in community social work, Lara went to work in the IT industry. There, Lara was able to utilize her subject matter expertise in social policy to help state governments build large-scale systems to meet the needs of both caseworkers and clients. With her interest and experience implementing programs, Lara has published papers on the impact of welfare reform at the state level. Lara is an active volunteer in her community, helping several local charities meet their needs. Most recently, Lara has begun training to become a CASA to represent foster care children in court. Lara enjoys writing, spending time with friends and family, cooking, reading, yoga, music, and travel. Lara is a proud mother of two young boys, Jake 8, and Cooper 4.
Daniel Green
Dan is an Owner of Green Group Inc. and a part-time resource for grantwriting and consulting efforts for Green Group Inc. Dan holds a Bachelor’s degree from the College of William and Mary and has over 15 years of experience in human services IT consulting and project management. He recently earned a PMP – a key professional project management credential for experienced managers. Dan is a noted expert in child support enforcement program implementation, information systems, and policy in several states, including California. Most recently, he has made a shift to Medicaid project management where he is enjoying learning and leveraging his considerable skills and experience. Dan is an ace proposal writer, having won several million dollars for his business organizations. Dan enjoys running, biking, reading, music, and spending time with family.
